Contact messages

The contact form asks for your name, email address, topic, and message, with optional organization and date information. I use those details to respond to correspondence. Messages are processed by the website’s hosting service and delivered through Gmail. Correspondence may be retained as needed for the conversation and related records.

Please do not send sensitive personal, medical, confidential, or proprietary information through this form.

Form protection and logs

The form uses your network address to limit repeated requests. Its rate-limit file stores a keyed identifier rather than the raw address. Expired entries are removed when the form next processes a request.

New application audit entries record UTC time, delivery outcome, a technical reason code, a request identifier, network address, and browser user agent. The technical details allow failures to be matched with the site’s security dashboard. Entries do not include your message, name, email address, or full referrer. Audit records older than 30 days are removed during routine form processing. Hosting and security providers may maintain their own technical logs.

Site delivery and analytics

Cloudflare provides delivery, security, and Web Analytics services for the site. Those services process technical request and usage information. For their practices, see Cloudflare’s privacy policy (opens in new tab).

Media and external links

Fonts are served by this website. Video thumbnails are supplied by Google/YouTube and Kaltura, and your browser makes requests to those providers. Video links open the relevant provider’s website; their privacy terms apply there. LinkedIn and other external sites have their own privacy practices.
